Day 278

I am grateful for this birthday.

I am Day 278. I have been alive 52 years today. I was born during a hurricane, and according to my mom, my eyes and hair were so dark, the nurses called me Midnight. I have lived a lot of life, and most of it has been absolutely wonderful. I have been so blessed as to consider myself spoiled rotten. I know blessing so thorough and profound that if the rest of my life is all tragedy, I can still consider my life an example of how good God is. I'm not measuring His goodness, just being deeply grateful for it.

I wish Paula Nelson, Jeanette Dobratz, and Terry Johnson a very happy birthday today as well. May they be even more blessed than I am.
