Day 110

I am grateful for buttercups.

They sing out "SPRING!" to me. We have the kind that just grow in the wild. They're small, unobtrusive, plentiful, and their bright yellow is so cheering.

The local paper when I was growing up would give a cash prize to the child who found the first buttercup of spring. I think it got too competitive with parents "helping" their kids. I'm content to be lavished with them, our first spring flower to bid the season welcome.

Thank You, Lord, for these golden buds.
