I am grateful for eggs.
They're versatile, tasty, and can be dolled up or served in their simplest form. They are a vital ingredient in desserts, sauces, salads, and breakfast dishes, and they serve a starring role all by themselves. Costco sells them at the best price, but the farm down the road sells the ones in this picture for $2/dozen--hours fresh from Rhode Island Reds and roaming free--the best.
