Day 153

I am grateful for roses.

Their fragrance, color, and symbolism cause me to greatly esteem this flower species. I can't grow them here without battling the deer, and you have to pick your battles. On the rare occasion I do receive a rose or two, I do everything I can to extend its life. I'll put it outside or in the fridge at night, use a floral packet in the water, and smell it a hundred times. Okay, that last one doesn't extend its life, but it does add to mine. I honor this sweet gem this month of June.

Thank You, Lord, for the wunnerful flower.
