Day 121

I am grateful for the music of Jesus Culture.

There's worship music, and then there's the genre of worship music performed by groups like Jesus Culture. The melodies, lyrics, and leadership guide me into the sweet communion of His presence with joy, liberty, and praise on my lips and in my soul. They have some truly gifted worship leaders.

Bethel Live is their twin sister, their latest Loft Sessions being my current loop. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the groundbreaking work of Hillsong whose music changed the worship music scene altogether. Love these guys and their hearts. And their voices.

Thank You, Lord, for this truly wonder-full music.

Day 77

I am grateful for "The Loft Sessions."

Ryan introduced this CD to us by way of recommending one of the songs to his girlfriend, Amy, who posted it on Facebook. Ten of the ten songs has a place in my personal worship, which is a rare thing since my taste in worship music is rather narrow as compared to my preferences in all other music, which is broad and diverse.

"My Dear" and "Come to Me" are my two favorites, the former having been the subject of a previous post. They are fresh, thoughtful, intelligent, personal, and lovely, a most welcome addition to my musical library.

Thank You, Lord, for this lyrical minister.

Day 55

I am grateful for this song called "My Dear."

It's by Bethel Music from their album "Loft Sessions." I saw it day before yesterday on Amy's Facebook wall, and one listen was all it took. So glad for the vast availability of music on YouTube. I listened to the whole album on Grooveshark, then checked out the price on Amazon. Oh, the wonders of the Internet!

The whole album is great, and another song called "Come to Me" is a new worship favorite. These are contemporary, intimate, novel songs with a lean all their own. I like it. A lot.

Thank You, Lord, for this creation river of life notes, strung together in song pearl.
